FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA
If you've ever felt like me and wanted to travel the world by sea, being a part of a yacht crew is an amazing way to get into the marine industry, where traveling to exotic destinations is the norm. Fort Lauderdale takes the cake, making it one of the best cities to base yourself in when looking to get into the yacht service industry.
PALMA DE MALLORCA, SPAIN
Ah, Mallorca, or “Majorca” as some like to call it. This Mediterranean gem is like a dream for any yachtie! Nestled about 60 miles off Spain’s coast, it’s the largest of the Balearic Islands, and wow, what a mix of history, charm, and that coastal vibe we all love. The island has such a unique rhythm – from the bustling energy of Palma’s cosmopolitan scene to the serene, laid-back coves scattered along the coastline.
ANTIBES, FRANCE
I know Saint-Tropez may be considered the yacht capital of France, boasting famous celebrities, fashion models, and a high concentration of millionaires. However, for those looking to enter the industry, a short train ride south will lead you to the picturesque seaside city of Antibes. Port Vauban in the old port has the advantage of being one of the main yachting hubs in Europe with all the suppliers in the area and very close to Nice, Cannes, and Monaco. I like to refer to as the Fort Lauderdale of Europe. Similar to its American counterpart, Antibes offers a plethora of amenities for aspiring yachties.

It’s not just where I work, but where I unwind, network, and enjoy life off the boat.

A thriving hub for the luxury yacht community, Miami attracts yacht enthusiasts and industry professionals from around the globe. The year-round tropical climate, glamorous waterfront lifestyle, and proximity to the Caribbean make Miami a greathome base for those looking for yacht crew jobs.
NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND
Newport, Rhode Island, often called the “Sailing Capital of the World,” is rich with maritime history, luxury, and a charming New England vibe. Dating back to the 1600s, this coastal town became famous for its grand mansions built by America’s wealthiest families, like the Vanderbilts, during the Gilded Age.
